La Guerrera’s Kitchen is a family owned and operated restaurant located in Old Oakland’s Swan’s Market. We are a passionate women led team serving our favorite recipes from our native Guerrero, Mexico. Specializing in traditional tamales, pozole, barbacoa, and more.

Guerrero is a truly magical place. From the coastline and lush mountains to the vibrant food culture rooted in the beloved tradition of thriving through the bounty of the sea. Our story has humble beginnings in the mercados of Guerrero. In 2002, we began selling delicious tamales across the Bay Area. In 2019, we opened our first brick and mortar known as La Guerrera’s Kitchen (The Warrioress’ Kitchen).

Born from La Cocina, our goal is to inspire connection, conversation, and bring communities together through our gift of love served on every plate.
